I hit my target weight!
I did it! I cotton-pickin’ well did it! I got on the scales this morning and, as if by magic, I discovered I have reached my target weight of 125lbs. I can’t tell you how happy I am about that – thanks to Anthony Punshon‘s amazingly easy eating and workout plan in six weeks I lost 12lbs and since then I’ve managed to whittle off another pound with only one workout a week, daily walks and sensible eating. And I haven’t lived like a monk, either! I’ve...

So you thought you couldn’t have chocolate muffins when you’re on a diet, eh? Well think again…. This is a great recipe I found online and adapted for Anthony‘s weight-loss plan. I carefully figured out the ingredients to make sure that each one of these little beauties comes in at just under 100 calories. They are perfect for a mid-afternoon snack. Or a just before bed snack. Or part of your breakfast. Or a dessert item. You name it. They really are fab. Ingredients 2...

The face says it all. I feel so good and look so much better after just three short weeks. This morning I got up and weighed myself. I weigh 129.6lbs. I’ve lost just under 5lbs in three weeks! Without having to try very hard! Or become a vegan! (Sorry to Kate Besworth.) The week before I started 21 Days Later I reached my own personal tipping point when I realized I had gotten a little larger than I was comfortable with. When I weighed myself then I was 139.4lbs. A few days later I...

I did it! I made it through three weeks of Anthony Punshon’s workout and eating plan. I feel fecking great. Here are the things I’ve learned in the last three weeks: I can accomplish anything I set my mind to What goes into your mouth is more important than the exercise you do Any eating plan can fit around your life if you plan well enough You do not have to be fat over 40 Rice cakes are delicious The secret to staying on a calorie-controlled diet is variety and imagination If...

Today was crazy busy! I got up at 6am to get downtown to pick up Daisy from her foster mom Ruth. I volunteer for Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport who rescue and rehome Chihuahuas. Daisy is a new rescue and was scheduled to be spayed this morning before she will be ready for her new forever home. What a doll! She was found tied up alone in the lobby of an apartment building. How can people be so cruel? Luckily she’s still very affectionate and doesn’t seem to have been too...

I mean it. I’m not messing around here. For reals. One of the most important things (IMHO) when you’re on a diet is to find food combinations that you consider delicious and filling without being a truck-load of something that’s going to screw up your weight loss. And one of the best ever inventions (again IMHO) is Greek yogurt. Seriously. It’s da bomb. Here’s what I made with it today: Now why President’s Choice insist on putting sugar in their fruit...

I was ready to eat a scabby donkey. Seriously. At the height of my hormonal pre-menstrual nonsense I feel like I want to eat Toronto. I’d already used up my snack in the afternoon on 6 pieces of Green & Black’s (my fabulous cheat from yesterday). It was 9.30pm and supper was a distant memory (we eat at 6.30pm to accommodate a ravenous 16-year-old). I’d also already done my evening trick of a low-fat café mocha (1tsp cocoa powder, half a mug of heated skimmed milk, half a...

I cheated today. Well, it was a semi-cheat. A calculated one. I am a bit pre-menstrual today. Well, a lot pre-menstrual, to be brutally frank. This was evidenced in the way I had a stand-up argument with a women in Indigo’s because she was rude to one of the store clerks who was trying to help her. I decided I needed chocolate. Badly. But I didn’t want to scoff down a KitKat Chunky Max. I wanted something decent and well-made. And I didn’t want to go over my calorie count. I...
