I’m a little bit over-excited.
That’s because I’ve been invited to appear at my very first comedy festival as a newcomer. Woot!
The festival consists of two nights of comedy – on Friday 24th September is the Rising Star Showcase with 14 comedians competing for a spot on the Gala Event on the Saturday night. Guest judges are the MC for the Gala Event Gavin Stephens, Mike Hancock (the mayor of Brantford), Dave Levac (MPP for Brant and Chief Government Whip) and Len Offless of Brant News.
Steve Scholtz, one of my favourite Toronto comics, will be MCing the Rising Stars event.
