Gigs for the week of 19th October 2009

Oct 17

union-jackThis week I have but one gig – and it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!

After I came third in the Toronto Comedy Brawl Ian Atlas asked me if I’d like to host a night at the Comedy Vault. Would I? You betcha. So I got together a bunch of my favourite comics on the scene and invited them to join me for my hand-picked evening of comedy: Birds, Brits and a Random Bloke.

The line-up is killer. My fellow StandUp Sisters Shelley Kidwell and Marjorie Malpass plus Toronto’s cutest banker Elaine Dandy make up the Birds. Joy Acharjee is from Southampton, David Green is from the north of England and Luke McKinney is Irish so they make up the Brits – plus me, of course, and hopefully Jamie Murray if his plane gets in from London on time! And since Andrew Ivimey is from Newfoundland he counts as a token Irishman. My good friend Joel Buxton is the random bloke.

It’s going to be a wonderful night of comedy in a great venue (tip top service, nice food, great beer) for only $5 – you can’t say fairer than that! I really hope you can make it.
