The run of “Toronto Noir” is going extremely well – we had an almost capacity crowd at yesterday evening’s show. At just about halfway through the run the response has been fantastic. Audiences have enjoyed the dark comedy and the creative staging of Heather Davies adaptation of three short stories from the award-winning collection. Here is a line-up of the remaining shows:
- Sunday 9th August @ 8pm
- Tuesday 11th August @ 4pm
- Thursday 13th August @ 4pm
- Saturday 15th August @ 12pm
On top of doing the show I have three stand-up gigs this week too!
Tomorrow night (Monday 10th August) I will be doing a show on the Danforth:
- 9.30pm – Shenanigans at Sportsters, 1430 Danforth, 1 block west of Coxwell, Toronto
On Tuesday night, right after the performance of “Toronto Noir” I will be heading over to the Comedy Hole for the semi-final of the Toronto Comedy Brawl. I would love to advance to the final, so please come out and support me if you can! It’s $5 to get a voting slip and $50 is awarded to the comic placed first on the night.
- 8pm – the Comedy Hole at the Crown and Tiger Pub, 414 College Street West at Bathurst, Toronto
On Thursday night, again after the performance of “Toronto Noir” I will be off to McVeigh’s to try out some new material. This is a really nice room at a pub with great food and cheap booze – what’s not to like?
- 9pm at McVeigh’s Pub, Church and Richmond, Toronto
And next week I lie down in a darkened room………
