Niche Store Builder Contest

Readers may find this a little off-topic, but I wanted to get the word out.

If you’re like me you’re always looking for ways to earn extra money. And hell, show business is so up and down that it’s sensible to have different baskets with different eggs in. I’ve tried lots of different methods and the only one that’s had any significant level of success has been niche store building.

My two seahorse websites (which have now been amalgamated into one – The Seahorse Shop) brought in a substantial amount of revenue last year – enough to pay my life insurance in the UK and pay off some credit card debt. Although they’ve changed and altered as blogging has taken over as the most profitable and classy way to create an authority website, the principle is still the same – find a niche that you love, build a website around it and monetize that website.

Someone I rely on heavily for tips and advice in this area is Mark Hansen, a thoroughly decent, generous and clever guy who has a fantastic blog called the Niche Store Builder. He has just opened up a new website to coincide with the release of a guide to a piece of software I’ve been using for over a year now called Build A Niche Store or BANS for short.

Mark is running a competition to win a website, built by Mark, after he has followed the guide for 90 days. It costs nothing to enter – just follow the instructions at the Build a Niche Store Guide website. You never know – you could get lucky and end up with a little money-maker for nothing!

No worries! I’m excited about this competition and about your new website. Looking forward to eating up the guide and following your progress.

PS – I just tweeted about this too!
