Gigs for week of July 13 2009
Jul 10
Here it is folks, gigs for next week!
On Tuesday night (14th) I will be competing in round one of the Toronto Comedy Brawl. 64 comedians are fighting for the right to call themselves the winners of the Toronto Comedy Brawl. Or something like that. Anyway, I really really want to at least get through this round. There are some truly excellent comics in the competition and it would be an honour to go up against them. Everyone will be bringing their “A” game, so this is an event not to be missed! Unless you don’t live in Toronto. Then, it’s fair enough. Here are the deets:
- 8pm at the Comedy Hole (Crown and Tiger Pub, 414 College Street West at Bathurst) – it’s downstairs in the basement. It smells a bit, but after a couple of ales, you won’t notice. It’s $5 to attend – this gives you your voting card. You get to vote for your three favourite comics who all go through to the next round. Woot!
On Wednesday night (15th) I am performing at the opening night of a brand new comedy room in Toronto. Run by the delectable Andrew Ivimey with Ron Josol as the headliner. Here are the deets:
- 9pm at Scallywags (St. Clair and Yonge – first building on St. Clair West) – this event is free. Free, I tell you! And it’s only ten minutes’ walk from my house, so I may have to have a shandy or three…..
If you’re in Toronto and you fancy hanging our for some jokes and beers and general arsing around – join me!
Don’t forget that you can see all my upcoming appearances (that’s stand-up, theatre, tv appearances etc.) on my upcoming appearances page. Sort of common sense, really.
