Funnest job ever

Marilla Wex after work on Good TimesI’ve had three days on “The Good Times Are Killing Me” and I can safely say that this is the funnest job ever. This is what I look like after I’ve brushed my hair – lush.

Kelly Rowan couldn’t be more gracious, warm and friendly. Rupert Graves is as mad as a box of frogs and preposterously fun to work with. Vincent Walsh and Ali Craig make me homesick for Ireland and Scotland and Aaron Abrams is just a doll. I haven’t laughed so much in an ensemble piece like this since my days in the National Youth Theatre as a kid. Everyone is extremely generous when off-camera in a shot and the crew are just a hoot. John L’Ecuyer is a real actors’ director – he trusts us and encourages our input and improvisation. The writer Cris Cole seems delighted at how his nine-year-old screenplay is finally coming to life. For my first movie I totally lucked out.

It’s jobs like this that remind me why it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.

Just generally monkeying around and making me pee my pants laughing. What a lovely guy.
